Some jurisdictions do not allow limits on the duration of an implied warranty, so this limitation may not apply to you. The entire liability of Dell and its suppliers, and your exclusive remedy, shall be, at Dell s option, either a termination of this Agreement and return of the price paid for the Software or b replacement of any media not meeting this warranty that is sent with a return authorization number to Dell, within the 90-day warranty period, at your cost and risk. I just installed windows 7 and noticed this adapter being the only hardware not automatically configured.

And this driver isnt working for me. Im on win7 64 and when I point it to that inf file I get the error

The folder you specified doesn t contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.

Is there any luck to get this to work.

I usually use this adapter to do quick pc to pc networks with some crossover cables.

it s working on 32 based system . .only.

This is an old card, and the driver probably isn t 64-bit compliant. I suspect the driver is actually an XP driver, as that was the last OS to natively support the 3C905. I seem to recall it not working in the 64-bit version of XP either.

this worked perfectly for me on a Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit system.

The system that I used it on was a Shuttle PC SN41G2 v3. The onboard ethernet card just wouldn t seem to work even after installing the nvidia driver for it. So I tried using this driver for my 3Com card and it worked GREAT.. Thanks for the tip.

Sorry man but this doesn t appear to work on Win7 Ultimate 64 bits. It installs a Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC and this device always shows a Code 10 error: this device cannot be started. Anyone tried this and worked.

What does code10 mean.

Is this a onboard chipset. or pci card.

I just added a pci 10/100 ethernet card and rather then use the cd, I let windows do its thing and it came up with the realtek RTL8139/810x.

I am using ultimate 64bit and the ethernet is working well so far, windows demoted Nvidia on board ethernet to the 2 spot.

hey guys my onboard network card is taking a shit and all i have is this card but i can not find the drivers i tried the 3com link it turned me to hp and they dont the driver there and i also tried the other link and it requires a login and pass to access

the server.

Works also for 2008 Server R2. Tnx Kartograph.

Its part of the drivers in the OS. Dig through the Realtek stuff till you find the one he listed.

Windows 8.1 x64 not working, like a from the drivers list in the OS and new version 6.111.723.2009.

couldn t read MAC address of the card.
